Radnor, PA (USA) – April 29, 2009 – QlikTech, the world's fastest-growing Business Intelligence (BI) software company, today announced Wolters Kluwer Health, a leading information provider for the pharmaceutical industry, has chosen to deploy a new product application leveraging QlikView for Information Providers and the Netezza data warehouse appliance. The combined solution offers brand managers and other executives quick access to key market data and customized dashboards more cost effectively and quickly than other solutions.

Wolters Kluwer Health's Source® market database captures drug prescription data from pharmacies, hospitals, and healthcare providers that deliver insight into the drivers of a brand's market performance. The new product provides an on-demand web portal to access the Source database directly, providing clear visibility into the real-time performance of sales and marketing programs. Pharmaceutical executives and brand managers can access this key information themselves, enabling them to make more timely sales and promotional decisions.

The new Source product offering enables on-demand analysis of terabytes of data, thanks to QlikView's in-memory technology and visual analysis capabilities. QlikView enables the integration of multiple datasets and views into the data that users can customize and manipulate immediately, saving money on consulting fees. The Netezza data warehouse appliance provides a powerful and efficient platform to return results more quickly than with other data warehouse options.

"Thanks to the speed and ease of use we've experienced with QlikView and Netezza, our query return time has been significantly reduced," said Peter Demogenes, Sr. Director, Product Management at Wolters Kluwer Health. "We can quickly design customized dashboards for clients, enabling us to more efficiently meet client needs. QlikView's ability to merge data from multiple sources allows us to provide timely updates to the database, faster than before."

QlikView's visual reporting dashboards provide intuitive and visual analysis into the Source database for status and trends surrounding sales performance, market share, production and costs, geography, and other key performance indicators (KPIs) – with drill down details in a few clicks. The Netezza data warehouse appliance provides a turnkey solution comprising server, operating system, database, and disk storage that is the core component of a new grid processing environment. QlikView is optimized for the Netezza platform, allowing thousands of users to access billions of records while quickly analyzing and segmenting data at unprecedented speeds.

"The combination of Netezza and QlikView has made an immediate impact on our joint customers. With the combined solution, we can now address broader, more complex analyses in a much shorter period of time and produce visual reporting results that were virtually impossible before," said Matt Rollender, Director of Strategic Alliances, at Netezza. "Information requests that once took days to turn around now take minutes, resulting in significant cost savings and a lower total cost of ownership for customers such as Wolters Kluwer."

Both Wolters Kluwer Health and Netezza are part of QlikTech's Qonnect global partner program, which expands the availability of QlikView through alliances with more than 700 solution providers around the world.

"A key to the success of our partner program has been the relationships we can facilitate among complementary solution providers," said Peter McQuade, Vice-President Global Alliances and International Markets for QlikTech. "In this case, the teaming of Netezza's technology with QlikView's flexible analysis of Wolters Kluwer's complex healthcare databases brings better decision making to pharmaceutical companies and marketers."
