RESPECTED TECHNOLOGY INNOVATOR DAVID FLAXMAN JOINS NETEZZA AS CHIEF STRATEGY OFFICER

  Sybase Replication Server Architect Brings Extensive Business and Technology Strategy Experience to Netezza

Marlborough, Mass. — March 10, 2009 — Netezza Corporation (NYSE Arca: NZ), the global leader in data warehouse and analytic appliances, today announced that respected technology innovator David Flaxman has joined the company as chief strategy officer. Flaxman will focus on developing strategy and evaluating opportunities that reinforce Netezza’s vision of enabling users across the extended enterprise to leverage the power of business analytics.
