When:   Thursday, April 3, 2008, 11:00 AM-11:30 AM CST
Where:   Gartner Business Intelligence Summit, Hyatt Regency Chicago, Grand Ballroom A, Chicago, IL.
Summary:   MasterCard Worldwide relies on sophisticated analytics to understand the portfolios of its financial institution customers and to effectively market its credit and debit card brands. As a sophisticated user of its own customer and operational data, MasterCard relies on comprehensive analyses for customer acquisition and to construct effective marketing programs. In this session, MasterCard will discuss how the Netezza data warehouse appliance facilitates analysis on more than 50 terabytes of data. Multiple years of transaction detail that had been difficult to query or time-consuming to assemble can now be more readily and quickly accessed to provide analytical insight.

Martin has been with MasterCard more than 16 years, joining the data warehouse team after 13 years with the MasterCard risk systems group where she oversaw the technology solutions to help reduce and prevent credit and debit fraud.
