Framingham, Mass. — August 8, 2007 — Netezza Corporation (NYSE Arca: NZ), a leading provider of data warehouse appliances, today announced that it has partnered with SAS to further strengthen connectivity between the Netezza Performance Server® (NPS®) data warehouse appliance and SAS' business intelligence, analytics and data integration software. This strengthened interoperability will be delivered through a Netezza-specific SAS/ACCESS interface, and will allow users to further leverage the capabilities of both products.

The SAS/ACCESS interface is the foundation of SAS' data access solution, able to read, write and update data regardless of the native database or platform. The SAS/ACCESS to Netezza interface engine improves data transfer speeds between the two products, and allows SAS® applications to be more Netezza-aware, enabling additional optimizations in data processing.
