Framingham, Mass. and Glendale, Calif.—August 29, 2005—In a move designed to enable software companies to port their analytical applications to run on its data warehouse appliance, Netezza Corporation and Systech Solutions, Inc. today announced that they have expanded their partnership. Working with Netezza, Systech has created the Global Software Porting Center, which provides a core of project management professionals, software architects and developers who are trained to quickly port existing Business Intelligence applications to the NPS® system.
The Global Software Porting Center combines the high standards and proven methodology developed by Systech for their BI and data warehousing practices with the performance and ease of use of the Netezza data warehouse appliance. Systech’s approach, together with Netezza’s compliance with open standards and established industry protocols, mitigates development risk and reduces time to market. As a result, software companies can use the Porting Center to quickly introduce significantly improved price-performance characteristics with their applications. Additionally, Systech will leverage its offshore technology center along with both local and global resources and experience to port, test and deploy existing applications.
“This partnership provides software companies looking to leverage Netezza’s performance, total cost of ownership advantage and expanding market presence with a quick and cost-effective option to port their applications,” said Bill Doyle, vice president of channel sales at Netezza. “Systech’s comprehensive methodologies, proven track record and experience with Netezza, coupled with a low-cost development resource option, allow software companies to efficiently leverage best practices with our system.”
Building large-scale data warehouses using a phased approach with short-term deliverables is a Systech trademark and their Netezza experience in proof of concepts and implementations follows these same proven processes and methodologies. Systech Solutions also has significant experience in data migration, BI tool migration, application migration and BI software porting and integration testing, which it will leverage in the Global Software Porting Center.
“Systech has focused on developing our Netezza practice and expertise
