Netezza to Secure Funding

Netezza Corp., Framingham, Mass., announced it completed a $20 million round of Series B financing on Monday. The oversubscribed round, led by Battery Ventures, also features participation from Matrix Partners and Charles River Ventures. The investment will bring total funding in Netezza to more than $28 million. The company plans to use this round to establish a sales force, finish development and support beta testing as it brings its product to market. The company also announced that Battery's Ollie Curme will join Netezza's board of directors. Netezza (http://www.netezza.com/) produces an integrated hardware and software server for business intelligence applications.
