I.D.E.A. Challenge

Congratulations to our I.D.E.A Challenge winners! We also want to thank everyone who submitted an I.D.E.A and participated in the event.

The three winners are:

First Place
Tomek Bawor, ATOS Origin

Transportation: Adaptive traffic light control and vehicle navigation system.

To reduce time and expense for public and private city transport, private and municipal vehicles will use adaptive navigation and dynamic routing. In-vehicle mobile devices upload traffic state and requested destination data to the Netezza platform, which the system uses to (a) control traffic lights, and (b) optimize recommended travel routes.

 

Second Place

Use Behavior/Survey Analysis: High-volume survey results analysis.

Upload online user survey/feedback results to Netezza back end, where researchers, retailers, and other business users can perform predefined or ad hoc queries to analyze input from millions of users or consumers in minutes, or seconds.

 

Third Place
Sudarshan Borker, IE Education Pvt Ltd

Education: K-12 video content delivery.

Educators upload video content—and links to public web-resident content—to the Netezza cloud, which back-ends a web-based delivery portal. Registered users search, consume, and rate video clips. Ratings accompany search results.
