Netezza Data Virtualizer, powered by Composite Software, is software that federates data physically managed in multiple Netezza appliances. It integrates data, creating an enterprise-wide view for use by reports, dashboards and analytic applications. It does this simply and cost-effectively. It runs as middleware on one or more servers sitting between BI applications and two or more Netezza appliances. Data Virtualizer federates, integrates, and delivers data to reporting and analytic applications while Netezza appliances continue to manage their data.
