John Metzger, CTO

John Metzger has two decades of experience designing database software, tools and systems.

As Chief Technology Officer, Metzger is focused on consistently driving product direction, ensuring that the Netezza system meets and exceeds customer expectations and integrates with leading partner applications.

Prior to Netezza, Metzger was a consultant on applications and database critical projects, and also held senior management positions at Data General Corporation where he was responsible for many product firsts including Data General's first DBMS products.
