Account Executive
Phoenix, Southern California, Chicago, NY Metro, Utah and
Colorado
The Account Executive is responsible for identifying,
developing and closing business opportunities, developing
long-term customer relationships, leading proposal development
efforts, and other related sales activities. The successful
candidate will be a driver. S/he will run with initiatives
and be comfortable controlling meetings as soon as they enter
a room. S/he will have a thorough understanding of consultative
sales and will be able to build close, trusting relationships
in all professional and social settings.
The successful Account Executive will possess:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in database, data warehousing
or BI space in designated markets. Recent new business development
experience in opening new major accounts
- C, VP & D-level established relationships within the
DW or BI community.
- Understanding of current concepts, solutions & environments,
especially in business intelligence, data warehousing environments,
large scale computer systems, RDBMS, ETL and enterprise
Software.
- 10+ years experience carrying a quota in a technology
sector
- Excellent time management, written, verbal and presentation
skills.
- Ability to demonstrate an immediate, positive impact on
sales.
Day to day activities include:
- Develop sales strategies and execute account plans in
support of goals/objectives.
- Work with system engineer in creating and executing proposal
development strategies for current and new customers
- Develop and present proposals that clearly convey clients
needs, project approach, relevant experience, and client
benefits
- Understand competitors' strengths and weaknesses and effectively
articulate Netezza product advantage
- Design and Deliver POC to potential customers
Successful candidates must have:
- 10+ years quota carrying sales within technology sector
- Bachelors degree
- Effective negotiation and closing techniques to secure
profitable business.
- Superior presentation and communication skills
- Must be a professional sales person with a proven track
record
- Must have the desire and experience to be successful
- Experience with a formal sales process
- Ability to forecast accurately
- Possess strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Utilize sound business acumen, Consistently exceed selling
quotas
