Director,
Strategic Partner Alliances
Primary Objective:
The Director of Strategic Partner Alliances is responsible
for developing and strengthening relationships and driving
increased marketing activity with Netezza's complementary
technology partners.
Accountability/Scope (range of responsibilities):
This person reports directly to the Vice President of Product
Management and Marketing and is responsible for developing
and strengthening business relationships with our complementary
technology partners. This person will be responsible for building
an effective team, as the growing needs of Netezza's
business require it. This person also works closely with internal
technical resources to support 3rd party product integration
efforts as well as manage application partnerships. In addition,
this position will drive message and collateral development
with partners and work closely with the Netezza executive
team, sales management and sales staff.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic planning and tactical execution
- Lead and manage specific relationships with technology
partners
- Liaise at business and technical interface levels between
Netezza and partners
- Build key alliance strategies
- Initiate, secure and strengthen relationships with partners
and translate this knowledge into sales and marketing strategies
to assist in accelerating revenue
- Position Netezza and its products and services to new
prospects to secure the most effective relationship possible
in support of the teams revenue goals
- Negotiate and close agreements that solidify desired relationships
- Maintain and provide expertise to Netezza's technical
and sales communities concerning partner initiatives
- Ensure partners are adequately equipped and trained

partnership in technology arena
- Strong communication/presentation skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong peer relationships,

Desired Job Experience:
- Experience in building strategic partnership relationships
required
- Track record in building effective organizational teams
strongly desired
- History of successful Executive & C-level relationship
building
- Experience in business intelligence and/or data warehousing
space a plus
- Product Management experience a plus
- Business development experience a plus
- Sales Engineering or Engineering background a plus
Desired Education:
- MBA or equivalent preferred
- Technical BS or MS preferred
Minimum Physical Requirements
Business travel required approx. 30%. Office environment,
no special physical demands
